Location
Ochota district is situated in the South-Western part of Warsaw. It borders the districts of: ¦ródmie¶cie, Włochy, Wola and Mokotów. Its proximity to ¦ródmie¶cie district is definitely an advantage and attracts the investors. Along Jerozolimskie Avenue, in the three-kilometers section, the offices of many foreign companies are located, e.g. Bayer, BASF, ABB. Ochota district covers the area of 972 hectares, of which 200 hectares are green areas. Every fifth inhabitant of Ochota is below 15 years of age.
Investments
It is planned to modernize Grójecka Street and to transform its part into a municipal boulevard. The project foresees the liquidation of Banacha Market Hall together with the surrounding market place. Instead, a two-storey commercial ccntre and a building destined for greengrocery will be built. Building market hall is the first stage of creation of a new district centre. Then, three skyscrapers will be built. They will be the seat of district authorities, offices and even of a hotel. The space between the commercial ccntre and the skyscrapers will become district market place with cafes all around it.
